The Maidstone Young Musician competition is run by Rotary Club of Maidstone Dawn Patrol. Performing in competitive solo classes in the Maidstone Music Festival (mmf) is the only way to enter for MYM. mmf acts as the preliminary round. Outstanding performers from mmf are selected by the adjudicators and Festival staff, and are recommended for an opportunity to participate in the Young Musician competition. This is open to all instrumentalists and singers. There is no need on entry to mmf to register for the Young Musician Competition as outstanding performances will be noted and the invitation to take part will be sent shortly after the Festival.
